Every year, in honor of the great national holiday "Victory Day!", In May, in Tomsk there is an open Contact Karate-to Tournament: "Open Tomsk", in which teams from the Beliy Yar, Kazakhstan, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Tomsk.

 In the tournament "Open Tomsk-2018", about 70 athletes competed, and although this is not so much, this is just the case when "true fans" of Contact Karate-Do met on the tatami!

The competitions started from the Kata section "Shotokan", then the team Kata "Kobudo" with the wooden sword "Bokken" and "Bojutsu" passed. And the tournament ended with the contact fights section "Kumite" (Shobu Ippon, up to 2 wazari, or one Ippon).

The age divisions of the tournament participants: 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-17 years. And among them there was a very, very "serious fight" for 14 sets of medals.

The judiciary consisted of:

Chief Judge - Senior Instructor Negodin Yuri (9 Dan Karate-do) (Honored coach of Russia).

Judges: Stishenko P. (international prize-winner of Kata, Kobudo, Kumite from Tomsk), Menshikov A. (Novosibirsk), Kononenko S. (Moscow), Nečunayev S. (White Yar).

I would like to note the absolute champions of the tournament, which in the sections "Kata" and "Kumite" won gold, is:

 11-12 years old - Yegor Gusev (Tomsk),

13-14 years old - Adil Besembayev (Kazakhstan, Ust-Kamenogorsk),

15-17 years old - Ruslan Bikkulov (Tomsk).

And also the absolute champion in the sections Kobudo  "Bokken" and "Bojutsu"  was the team of Tomsk Budo-club "Universal-1987".

The leadership of the Tomsk regional public organization of karate-do "Hachi-o-kai" handed out medals and diplomas to all prize-winners.
